CILEGON – PT Kenertec Power System (PT KPS) recently received a “Satisfactory” rating in its Occupational Safety and Health Management System (HSEMS, or SMK3) audit. This assessment is separated into a pre-audit phase (taking place May 29-30, 2023) and a final audit phase (July 10-11, 2023). The company managed to meet 166 criteria in total.

External agencies were hired to conduct the audit, including PT Surveyor Indonesia, a subholding of a leading survey service provider that caters to the testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) industry. Like its name suggests, TIC provides quality assurance, testing, inspection, and certification services for multiple sectors.

At the event, PT KPS’s general manager for the General Affairs Division, Hyun Sunwoo, expressed his gratitude to the HSE team, employees, and all parties who “have been supporting HSEMS use in the company.”

“Let’s be earnest in our efforts to run HSEMS. We [PT KPS] are always trying our best to ensure it remains in place through campaigns and sessions introducing the system, employee training, and regular evaluations of the system.”

HSEMS aligns with Government Regulation 50/2012 and is aimed at enhancing OSH (occupational safety and health) protection in “planned, measured, structured, and integrated ways”. The system is also designed to prevent occupational accidents and diseases by involving company management, workers, and labor unions in its implementation.

PT Kenertec Power System is a company under Korindo Group that commits to creating a safe and comfortable work environment. The rating is proof that PT KPS has kept its vow to ensure work safety. (Rendy/LIC)
