CILEGON – On Wednesday (4/17), Indonesian presidential special staff Diaz Hendropriyono paid a call on Kenertec Power System (KPS) at its factory in Ciwandan, Banten. Both sides discussed on whether the local renewable industry is in a fit state to support state commitment of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
This visit marks serious efforts on the government’s part to identify challenges and encourage innovations in the energy sector by focusing on eco-friendly, sustainable technology development. With an innovative portfolio in the field of renewable energy, KPS makes a likely strategic partner to reach net-zero goals in 2060.
“We want to see if this industry is ready to support the president in his pledge to cut emissions. It is our intention to come over and learn about what you do here to make wind energy generation possible, how much emissions can be saved with this endeavor, and what are its future prospects and issues, so that we know what to recommend,” Hendropriyono said at the event.
Both Hendropriyono and KPS’s management touched upon various aspects of potential collaboration between the public and private sector in accelerating renewable business growth. These included the difficulties and challenges KPS faced in expanding its wind turbine business domestically.

As part of shared commitment to propel the sustainable energy sector forward, the government — through Hendropriyono — will address these difficulties and challenges in a recommendation for the president. This is also considering KPS is the only local wind generator provider and is among four major manufacturers of this product based on quantity.
Kenertec Power System engages in wind turbine production under Korindo Group and is the only one to do this in Indonesia. Korindo Group is strongly committed to developing clean, environmentally safe energy. Through its subsidiary, Korindo Group has delivered thousands of wind towers to multiple countries from Europe to America. (PR)
